Live, or any time
In Live mode the map follows the clock. Pick any date and time to see the room as it will be, such as tonight at 21:00.
Table management
Draw your floor plan once. Bookanty gives every booking the best free table and shows your team the whole room, from the first arrival to the last free table.
Live table map
Move the clock, filter by status or area, and click a table to seat guests, free it or seat a walk-in. This is how the map behaves in Bookanty, shown with a demo restaurant.
The interactive table map needs JavaScript. In Bookanty, each table shows as Available, Reserved today, Reserved or Occupied, and you can seat guests, free tables and seat walk-ins from the map.
In Live mode the map follows the clock. Pick any date and time to see the room as it will be, such as tonight at 21:00.
A booked table shows as Reserved from one reservation length before the guests arrive, so it isn’t given away just before they come.
Tables available, reserved and occupied, plus covers: guests at their tables compared with your total seats.
Switch to a list with table, area, seats, status, guest, time and notes, or hover a table on the floor for its details.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | No open booking for this table on the day shown. |
| Reserved today | The table has a booking today, but not at the time shown. |
| Reserved | A booking is due, and the table is held for it. |
| Occupied | The guests are seated. |
Automatic table assignment
When a booking comes in, Bookanty picks the table for you. Change the party size, time or area and watch how the tables rank.
Example: a party of 2 in the dining room at 21:00 gets T6, a two-seat table with priority 1, because the smallest table that fits comes first and priority breaks the tie.
Only tables in the booking’s area that seat the whole party, and whose minimum party size is met.
The table with the fewest seats comes first, so large tables stay free for large groups.
Among tables of the same size, priority 1 comes first, then 2 and so on. Priority 0 means no preference.
Tables with an open booking that overlaps the new one are skipped. If nothing fits, the booking is still saved, without a table.
Floor plan configurator
Start from your areas, drag in tables and obstacles, and save. The live map and automatic assignment both work from your plan.
Built for service
Leave the name empty and the party is seated straight away as a walk-in.
If the party is larger than the table, Bookanty asks for confirmation before going ahead.
Seat reserved guests when they arrive. Free table finishes the booking and frees the table.
Everything done on the map updates the same bookings shown in the booking list and on the dashboard.
Export the day’s table occupations as JSON for your own records.
Table management is off by default. Turn it on for your venue whenever you’re ready.
FAQ
No. Table management is optional and off by default. Cover and table-count limits per area work without a floor plan. Turn it on when you want the live map and automatic table assignment.
It looks at tables in the booking’s area that seat the whole party and whose minimum is met, picks the one with the fewest seats, uses your priorities to break ties and skips any table with a clashing booking.
Yes. Give a table a minimum number of guests and smaller parties won’t be assigned to it. Because the smallest fitting table is always chosen first, large tables also stay free for large groups.
Yes. Click a free table, set the number of guests and leave the name empty: the party is seated straight away as a walk-in.
Automatic assignment only uses tables that seat the whole party, so the booking is saved without a table. On the map you can still seat a party at any table; Bookanty asks for confirmation when the party is larger than the table.
